                               April 2017

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.                                                                     John 11:25-26

Missionary Mail
As the Referral Secretary I deal with mail every day - and I love it!  I love seeing the smiles and joy on our Sisters and Elders faces when they receive something, anything.  My heart also hurts for them when they say "nobody loves me" when they don't receive mail.  Everybody laughs, and I make sure I add my comment "It doesn't mean you're not loved, it just means your love ones were super busy this week."  (It doesn't seem to help much!)  I found this suggestion list and thought I'd pass it along.  If you are sending mail, thank you!  If not, maybe this will help.  We love our missionaries!

Mission Devotional
Sunday April 9, 2017
President Campbell welcomed everyone
Elder Pratt taught "We are literally the spirit children of a loving Heavenly Father".

Sister Dillard shared that during her conversion she worked hard to keep an open mind, read the Book of Mormon and pray about what she was reading.  She is now excited to be an eternal family.

Elder Hart taught "Truth and Authority have been restored".

Brother Bartholomew told us that he's always been
a who, what, when, where and why kind of guy.
Thanks to the missionaries he found the answers
to his questions through reading the Book of Mormon
and prayer.

Sister Ableman testified that becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the best experience and decision of her life.  She referred to the "Veggie Tales" song of Ester (the onion) who sings "The Battle is Not Ours".  With Heavenly Fathers help she is overcoming a lot of things.
Elder Greenfield taught "We can know the truth of these things by the gift of the Holy Ghost".

Brother Means said "the way the church makes me feel is truly the reason I'm a member".  He's building a foundation for his children.
True doctrine understood - changes behavior!
President Rasmussen shared a beautiful testimony and gave instruction of where to find out more about the gospel - www.mormonchannel.org, www.mormon.org, www.discover.mormon.org.
Also he encouraged everyone to go to the Missionaries and pray to learn more.

President Jacobsen of the Puyallup Stake told of when he travels over the border into Canada for his business he is always asked three questions: Where are you from? Where are you going? What do                     you have to declare?
In our troubled world today we as members of the church can answer those questions with confidence:  We are children of a Father in Heaven who loves us!  The gospel of Jesus Christ is restored and is here on earth today! We declare He sent his Son Jesus Christ to be the Savior and Redeemer of the world!
